The second edition of the Athena International Olive Oil Competition took place in Messinia on 20-22 March 2017.

The ATHENA International Olive Oil Competition that held annually in Greece, highlights the significance of competing in the age-old homeland of the olive and the birthplace of noble competition and the Olympic ideal. Today, this historic land, where the myths and legends of the past are constantly interwoven with modern challenges and accomplishments, is the world’s third largest olive oil producer—first in extra virgin olive oil production—and leading by far in terms of per capita consumption, followed by Spain, Italy and Portugal.

The participants in ATHIOOC 2017 has been judged by an international panel of leading olive oil experts with top level competition experience.

The Gold medal and the distinction of our Extra Virgin Olive Oil KOPOS® among the best olive oils from all over the world, mean nothing but only that we are on the right way and that we still have a lot ahead of us!
